Radiation FYI

Information for anyone going for radiation treatments

Knowing a little about what you can expect for your radiation treatments can help you prepare

Welcome

I have been a licensed Radiation Therapist for 3 years and I immediately noticed that many of my patients were coming into their appointments with a lot of the same questions, and seemingly no where to find answers. Generally patients have an idea of what to expect from chemotherapy, but radiation treatments are still a mystery. So I created this website to try to give patients a guide to what they can expect and ways to make it through their treatments safely. Sometimes knowing what it will be like can reduce anxiety surrounding this cancer treatment.

This site is intended to give patients an overview, if you can think of any questions or suggestions for things that I've overlooked, please let me know. Chances are, your question can help someone else out too!
